Another notable conflict occurred in 1431 when the Ottoman Empire, under Sultan Murad II, attacked Georgia. This led to the Battle of Sasireti in 1431, where Alexander I's forces fought against the Ottomans. Despite these challenges, Alexander I managed to maintain his rule and defend the Kingdom of Georgia during his tenure.
