Alexander I was the King of the Kingdom of Georgia from 1415 to 1442. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the Timurid invasions. In 1415, the Timurid Empire, led by Shah Rukh, launched an invasion of Georgia, resulting in the Battle of Chalagan in 1416. Alexander I successfully defended his kingdom and maintained his rule. Another notable conflict occurred in 1431 when the Ottoman Empire, under Sultan Murad II, attacked Georgia. This led to the Battle of Sasireti in 1431, where Alexander I's forces fought against the Ottomans.
