George VII was the King of the Kingdom of Georgia from 1395 to 1404. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including the devastating Timurid invasions. In 1399, the Timurid ruler Timur launched a campaign against Georgia, resulting in the Battle of the River Chobanidze, where George VII's forces suffered a defeat. Another major conflict occurred in 1402, when Timur invaded Georgia once again, leading to the Battle of Ankara. Although George VII's exact involvement in this battle is unclear, it marked a significant turning point in the region's history. Despite the turmoil, George VII's reign witnessed his efforts to defend and protect the Kingdom of Georgia.
