David VI, also known as David Narin, was the King of Georgia who ruled from 1248 to 1293 in the Kingdom of Georgia. During his reign, Georgia faced several significant conflicts. One of the most notable wars was the Mongol invasion of Georgia in 1248, which coincided with the beginning of David VI's rule. This invasion led to a series of battles and revolts against Mongol rule, including the Battle of Köse Dag in 1243 and the Battle of Basian in 1203. Despite these challenges, David VI managed to maintain the independence of Georgia and successfully defended his kingdom against external threats throughout his long and eventful reign.
