Sri Vikrama Rajasinha was the last ruler of the Kingdom of Kandy, reigning from 1798 to 1815. During his tenure, the kingdom faced significant challenges, including the Kandyan Wars. The first Kandyan War took place from 1803 to 1805, followed by the second Kandyan War from 1815 to 1818. These wars were fought against the British Empire, who sought to expand their control over the island of Sri Lanka. Despite his efforts to resist British colonization, Sri Vikrama Rajasinha was eventually captured and exiled, marking the end of the independent Kingdom of Kandy.
