Henry IV, also known as Henry of Navarre, was the ruler of the Kingdom of Navarre from 1572 to 1610. He is best known for his reign as King of France from 1589 until his assassination in 1610. During his rule, Henry IV faced several significant wars, including the French Wars of Religion (1562-1598) and the War of the Three Henrys (1587-1589). These conflicts were marked by religious tensions and power struggles between the Catholic League, the Huguenots, and the royalists. Despite the challenges, Henry IV implemented policies of religious tolerance and economic reforms, earning him the admiration of his subjects and the nickname "Good King Henry."
