Philip III, also known as Philip of Évreux, was the King of Navarre from 1328 to 1343. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts. One of the most notable wars was the Hundred Years' War, which lasted from 1337 to 1453. Although Philip III's reign ended before the war's conclusion, he witnessed its early stages and the initial clashes between England and France. Additionally, he dealt with internal revolts, such as the War of the Bands, which occurred from 1330 to 1332, and the War of the Two Peters, which took place from 1356 to 1366. Despite his relatively short reign, Philip III faced significant challenges both within and outside his kingdom.
