Lucius Tarquinius Priscus was the fifth king of the Kingdom of Rome, reigning from -616 to -579. During his rule, he expanded the territory of Rome through successful military campaigns. One of the most significant wars that occurred during his tenure was the war against the Sabines, which took place around -600. This conflict resulted in the capture of the Sabine town of Collatia and the subsequent integration of its territory into Rome. Another notable war was the war against the Etruscans, which happened around -600 as well. This conflict led to the defeat of the Etruscans and the acquisition of their lands by Rome.
