Rama VIII, also known as King Ananda Mahidol, was the ruler of the Kingdom of Thailand from 1935 until his untimely death in 1946. His reign spanned from 1935 to 1946, although he was only actively ruling from 1941 to 1946 due to his young age at the start of his reign. During his tenure, Thailand faced the challenges of World War II, with the most significant war being the Pacific War (1941-1945). This conflict saw Thailand initially aligning with Japan, but later switching sides to join the Allies in 1945.
