Lê Chiêu Thống was the ruler of the Later Lê Dynasty in Vietnam from 1788 to 1789. During his short reign, he faced the Tây Sơn Rebellion, a major conflict that lasted from 1771 to 1802. This rebellion was marked by several significant battles, including the Battle of Ngọc Hồi-Đống Đa in 1789, which resulted in a decisive victory for the Tây Sơn forces. Despite his efforts to resist the rebellion, Lê Chiêu Thống's rule was ultimately cut short, and the Tây Sơn Dynasty emerged as the new ruling power in Vietnam.
