Lê Hiển Tông was the ruler of the Later Lê Dynasty in Vietnam from 1784 to 1786. During his reign, Vietnam was embroiled in the Tây Sơn Rebellion, a major conflict that lasted from 1771 to 1802. This rebellion saw the Tây Sơn forces, led by the three brothers Nguyễn Nhạc, Nguyễn Lữ, and Nguyễn Huệ, rise up against the ruling Lê Dynasty. The rebellion resulted in the overthrow of the Lê Dynasty and the establishment of the Tây Sơn Dynasty in 1786. Lê Hiển Tông's rule was marked by the intense struggle to maintain control over Vietnam amidst the chaos and violence of the Tây Sơn Rebellion.
