Julio Argentino Roca, President (Argentine Republic) : All Data
Julio Argentino Roca was the President of the Argentine Republic from 1880 to 1886 and again from 1898 to 1904. During his tenure, he oversaw the Conquest of the Desert, a military campaign against indigenous peoples in the Patagonia region, which took place from 1878 to 1885. Roca's government also faced the Revolution of the Park in 1890, a failed uprising against his administration. However, it is important to note that Roca's rule extended beyond the specified period, as he was a prominent figure in Argentine politics until his death in 1914.
