Simha Varman II, also known as Skanda Varman III, was a ruler of the Pallava Dynasty who reigned from 451 to 480. During his tenure, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most important conflicts was the Battle of Vatapi in 457, where Simha Varman II successfully defeated the Chalukya king Pulakeshin II, expanding his kingdom's territory. Another notable war occurred in 465, when Simha Varman II led his forces against the Cholas, resulting in a decisive victory for the Pallavas. These military triumphs solidified Simha Varman II's rule and established the Pallava Dynasty as a dominant power in the region.
