Devapala was a king of the Paramara dynasty who ruled from 1221 to 1235. He governed over the region of Paramara, which was located in present-day central India. During his reign, Devapala faced several significant wars and conflicts. One of the most notable was the War of Malwa, which occurred from 1226 to 1231. This war saw Devapala defending his kingdom against the invading forces of the Delhi Sultanate. Another important conflict was the Battle of Mandor in 1234, where Devapala successfully repelled an attack by the Chauhan dynasty. Despite the challenges, Devapala's rule marked a period of resilience and strategic defense for the Paramara dynasty.
