Leo III was the King of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia from 1305 to 1307. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the Mamluk invasion of Cilicia in 1307. This invasion marked a major turning point in the history of the Armenian Kingdom, as it led to the eventual collapse and dissolution of Cilicia as an independent state. Despite his efforts to defend his kingdom, Leo III was unable to withstand the Mamluk forces, resulting in the loss of Armenian sovereignty and the end of his rule.
