Adad-nirari II was a king of the Assyrian Empire who reigned from approximately -910 to -890. During his tenure, he expanded the empire's territory and solidified Assyrian control over various regions. One of the most significant wars that occurred during his rule was the Assyrian conquest of Aram-Damascus, which took place around -900. This war resulted in the capture of the Aramean city of Damascus and the incorporation of the Aramean territories into the Assyrian Empire. Another notable conflict was the Assyrian campaign against the Urartu Kingdom, which occurred around -890.
