Théodore Sindikubwabo was the President of the Republic of Rwanda from July 1994 to July 1994. His brief tenure coincided with the Rwandan Genocide, a devastating conflict that took place from April to July 1994. The genocide resulted in the deaths of an estimated 800,000 people, primarily Tutsis, at the hands of extremist Hutus. Sindikubwabo's role during this period remains controversial, as he was accused of supporting and encouraging the violence against the Tutsi population.
