Icon Hieronymus Graf von Colloredo, Prince-Bishop (Salzburg Prince-Bishopric) : All Data

Hieronymus Graf von Colloredo was a Prince-Bishop who ruled over the Salzburg Prince-Bishopric from 1787 to 1803. During his tenure, he faced the tumultuous times of the French Revolutionary Wars (1792-1802) and the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815). These conflicts brought significant challenges to his rule, as the Salzburg Prince-Bishopric was caught in the midst of the expanding French Empire and faced invasions and occupations by French forces. Despite these difficulties, Colloredo managed to maintain some level of autonomy for his principality until its secularization in 1803, when it was incorporated into the newly formed Electorate of Salzburg.
