Stefan Uroš V Nejaki was the Emperor of the Serbian Empire from 1356 to 1371. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including the Serbian Civil War (1356-1371) and the Ottoman invasion of Serbia (1354-1357). The Serbian Civil War erupted shortly after Uroš V ascended to the throne, resulting in a power struggle between various noble factions. This internal conflict weakened the empire and made it vulnerable to external threats. The Ottoman invasion, led by Sultan Murad I, further destabilized the region and marked the beginning of the Ottoman conquest of the Balkans. Despite his efforts to defend his empire, Uroš V was ultimately unable to prevent the decline of Serbian power.
