Munmu was the ruler of Silla during the period of 661-681. He is known for his reign from 661-681, during which he successfully defended Silla against various external threats. Munmu led Silla forces in this conflict and eventually defeated Goguryeo, leading to the unification of the Korean Peninsula under Silla's rule.
