Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah was the Sultan of the Sultanate of Delhi from 1247 to 1266. During his reign, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most notable conflicts was the Mongol invasion of India, led by Genghis Khan's grandson, Hulagu Khan, in 1258. This invasion resulted in the sacking of Delhi and the destruction of many cities in the region. Another important war occurred in 1260 when the Sultanate of Delhi clashed with the Khwarazmian Empire, resulting in a decisive victory for Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah's forces. Despite the challenges, Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah managed to maintain his rule and defend his kingdom against external threats.
