Iskandar Muda was a Sultan who ruled the Aceh Sultanate from 1607 to 1636. During his reign, he led the Acehnese Empire to its peak of power and prosperity. Iskandar Muda successfully defended his kingdom against Portuguese and Dutch invasions, notably defeating the Portuguese in the Battle of Aceh in 1615 and the Dutch in the Siege of Malacca in 1629. These wars were consistent with the ruler's reign, as they occurred within the calculated timespan of his rule from 1608 to 1631. Iskandar Muda's military victories solidified his position as a formidable ruler in the region.
