Heinrich von Plauen was the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, ruling from 1410 to 1413. During his tenure, he faced the crucial Battle of Grunwald in 1410, where the Teutonic Order suffered a decisive defeat against the Polish-Lithuanian forces. This battle marked the beginning of a series of conflicts known as the Polish-Teutonic Wars, which lasted until 1466. Despite the defeat, Heinrich von Plauen managed to maintain the Teutonic Order's control over its territories for a few more years before eventually being succeeded by his successor, Michael Küchmeister von Sternberg.
