Songtsen Gampo was the Emperor of the Tibetan Empire from 619 to 649. During his reign, he expanded his empire through military conquests and strategic alliances. One of the most significant wars that occurred during his tenure was the War of the Four Garrisons, which took place from 634 to 635. This conflict involved Songtsen Gampo's forces fighting against the Tang Dynasty of China, resulting in the establishment of peace and the signing of the Treaty of Chongqing. Another notable war was the Battle of Karasahr in 644, where Songtsen Gampo's army defeated the Western Turkic Khaganate, solidifying his control over the Silk Road trade route.
