Tailapa II was the Emperor of the Western Chalukya Empire, reigning from 974 to 997. During his tenure, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most notable conflicts was the Battle of Kapardi in 985, where Tailapa II successfully defeated the Paramara ruler Munja. Another significant war occurred in 990, known as the Battle of Tiruvellarai, where Tailapa II emerged victorious against the Pandya ruler Rajaditya.
