Anthemius was an Emperor who ruled over the Western Roman Empire from 467 to 472. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the Vandalic War (468-477) and the Visigothic War (468-471). The Vandalic War, which began in 468, saw Anthemius leading a failed expedition against the Vandals in North Africa. The Visigothic War, which started in 468 and lasted until 471, involved clashes between the Western Roman Empire and the Visigoths led by King Euric. Despite his efforts, Anthemius was ultimately unable to secure victory in these wars, contributing to the decline of the Western Roman Empire.
