al-Mansur Ali I was an Imam who ruled over the Zaidi Imamate from 1804 to 1809. During his tenure, the Imamate faced significant challenges, including the Yemeni Civil War (1804-1806) and the Wahhabi invasion of Yemen (1808-1809). The Yemeni Civil War erupted in 1804, pitting various factions against each other for control of the Imamate. This internal conflict weakened the Imamate and left it vulnerable to external threats. In 1808, the Wahhabi forces, led by Saqr ibn Zamil, invaded Yemen, aiming to spread their puritanical form of Islam. This invasion posed a grave threat to the Zaidi Imamate and required a strong response from al-Mansur Ali I.
