Charles II was the King of the Personal Union of the Kingdoms of England and Scotland from 1660 to 1685. During his reign, he faced several significant wars, including the Second Anglo-Dutch War (1665-1667) and the Third Anglo-Dutch War (1672-1674). These conflicts were marked by naval battles and territorial disputes between England and the Dutch Republic.
