Edward VIII was the King of Great Britain for a brief period in 1936. His reign lasted only 325 days, from January 20th to December 11th of that year. During his tenure, no major wars occurred. However, it was during his reign that the Spanish Civil War broke out in 1936 and continued until 1939. Although this conflict did not directly involve Britain, it had significant international implications and marked a precursor to World War II.
