Isaac II Angelos was the Emperor of the Byzantine Empire from 1185 to 1195 and again from 1203 to 1204. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including the Fourth Crusade and the revolt of his own brother, Alexios III. The most important war that occurred during his tenure was the Fourth Crusade, which took place from 1202 to 1204 and resulted in the sacking of Constantinople by the Crusaders.
