Alfonso I, Duke (Ferrara (Military Occupation)) : All Data
Alfonso I, Duke of Ferrara, ruled from 1505 to 1534. During his tenure, he faced several significant conflicts, including the War of the League of Cambrai (1508-1516) and the War of the League of Cognac (1526-1530). The War of the League of Cambrai, which began before Alfonso's reign but continued during his rule, saw Ferrara pitted against an alliance of European powers. The War of the League of Cognac, on the other hand, saw Alfonso aligning with France against the Holy Roman Empire. Despite the challenges posed by these wars, Alfonso I managed to maintain his rule over Ferrara for nearly three decades.
