Ramon Berenguer I the Old was the Count of the County of Barcelona from 1039 to 1076. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the War of the Three Sanchos (1060-1064) and the War of Barbastro (1064-1065). The War of the Three Sanchos was a power struggle between Sancho Ramírez of Aragon, Sancho IV of Navarre, and Sancho II of Castile, which resulted in Ramon Berenguer I supporting Sancho Ramírez and successfully defending his territories. The War of Barbastro was a campaign against the Moors, led by Ramon Berenguer I, resulting in the capture of the city of Barbastro in 1065.
