Al-Mustakfi was the Caliph of the Abbasid Caliphate who reigned from 944 to 946. During his rule, the Abbasid Caliphate faced several significant conflicts. One of the most important wars was the Battle of Baghdad in 945, where the Buyid dynasty, led by Mu'izz al-Dawla, captured the city and effectively controlled the Abbasid Caliphate. This event marked a turning point in the decline of Abbasid power and the rise of regional dynasties. Another notable conflict during Al-Mustakfi's reign was the rebellion of the Daylamites in 945, led by Hasanak the Kurd. This revolt further weakened the central authority of the Abbasid Caliphate.
