Go-Yōzei was the 107th Emperor of Japan, reigning from 1586 to 1611 during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. His rule witnessed the pivotal Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, which solidified Tokugawa Ieyasu's control over Japan and marked the end of the Sengoku period. Although Go-Yōzei's reign extended beyond this period, no major wars or revolts are recorded during the specific years of 1601-1609. However, it is worth noting that his reign saw the consolidation of power by the Tokugawa shogunate, leading to a prolonged era of peace and stability known as the Edo period.
