Taishō was the 123rd Emperor of Japan, ruling from 1912 to 1926. During his reign, Japan experienced significant political and social changes. The most important wars that occurred during his tenure were the First World War (1914-1918) and the Siberian Intervention (1918-1922). Although Japan officially joined the war on the side of the Allies in 1914, its involvement was limited to naval operations in the Pacific. The Siberian Intervention, on the other hand, saw Japanese forces deployed to Siberia in 1918 as part of an international effort to support the anti-Bolshevik forces. These conflicts shaped Japan's role on the global stage and had a lasting impact on its domestic policies.
