Edward VI was the King of England from 1547 to 1553. Despite his short reign, he played a significant role in the English Reformation. During his rule, England saw the continuation of the ongoing wars with Scotland, including the Rough Wooing (1543-1551) and the War of the Rough Wooing (1544-1551), which aimed to secure a marriage alliance between Edward and Mary, Queen of Scots. Additionally, Edward's reign witnessed the beginning of the Wyatt's Rebellion (1554), a revolt against the proposed marriage of Queen Mary I to Philip II of Spain, although it occurred after his death.
