Manuel I, also known as Manuel the Fortunate, was the King of Portugal from 1495 to 1521. During his reign, Portugal experienced a period of great exploration and expansion. One of the most significant wars that occurred during Manuel's rule was the War of the League of Cambrai, which lasted from 1508 to 1516.
