Shah Alam II was the Emperor of the Mughal Empire from 1761 to 1806. During his reign, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most important conflicts was the Third Battle of Panipat, which took place in 1761, just a year after he ascended the throne. This battle resulted in a decisive victory for the Marathas over the Mughals. Another notable war was the Battle of Buxar in 1764, where Shah Alam II allied with the British East India Company against the combined forces of the Nawab of Bengal, the Nawab of Awadh, and the Mughal Emperor himself. This battle ended with a British victory, further weakening the Mughal Empire.
