Albert of Brandenburg-Ansbach was the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from 1510 to 1525 and the Duke of the Duchy of Prussia from 1525 to 1568. During his rule, the most significant war was the Polish-Teutonic War (1519-1521), which resulted in the Treaty of Kraków, granting Albert the secularized Duchy of Prussia. Another notable conflict was the Livonian War (1558-1583), which began after Albert's reign but had its roots in the territorial disputes between the Teutonic Order and Russia. Although Albert did not directly participate in this war, it significantly impacted the region he once ruled.
