Shah Jahan was the Emperor of the Mughal Empire from 1628 to 1658. During his reign, he oversaw the construction of the iconic Taj Mahal, a symbol of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The most significant war that occurred during his tenure was the War of Succession, which took place from 1657 to 1658. This war was fought between Shah Jahan's sons, Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh, for the throne of the Mughal Empire. Despite Shah Jahan's efforts to maintain peace and stability, the war ultimately led to his imprisonment by Aurangzeb, marking the end of his rule.
