Galdan Boshugtu Khan, also known as Khong Tayiji, was the ruler of the Dzungar Khanate from 1678 to 1697. These wars were consistent with the calculated timespan of Galdan Boshugtu Khan's rule and had a profound impact on the region. The Dzungar-Qing War was a prolonged struggle between the Dzungar Khanate and the Qing Dynasty, resulting in the eventual defeat of Galdan Boshugtu Khan's forces and the annexation of the Dzungar Khanate by the Qing Dynasty. The Tibetan-Mongol War, on the other hand, was a conflict between Galdan Boshugtu Khan and the Tibetan forces, which ended with a peace treaty in 1684.
