Louis XVIII was the King of France from 1814 to 1824. He ascended to the throne after the fall of Napoleon Bonaparte and the end of the Napoleonic Wars. During his reign, the most significant war was the Hundred Days War in 1815, when Napoleon briefly returned to power before being defeated at the Battle of Waterloo.
