David IV, also known as David the Builder, was the King of the Kingdom of Georgia from 1089 to 1125. During his reign, he successfully defended Georgia against numerous invasions and expanded its territories. One of the most significant wars that occurred during his tenure was the Seljuk invasion of Georgia in 1118-1120, where David led his army to victory, liberating several regions from Seljuk control. Another notable conflict was the Georgian-Armenian war in 1121-1122, which resulted in the annexation of several Armenian territories by Georgia. David's military successes and his efforts in strengthening the kingdom's infrastructure earned him the title of "the Builder" and solidified his legacy as one of Georgia's greatest rulers.
