Ivan IV, also known as Ivan the Terrible, was the Grand Prince of Moscow from 1533 to 1547 and the Tsar of Russia from 1547 to 1584. He ruled over the Tsardom of Russia for a total of 51 years. During his reign, Ivan IV faced several significant wars and conflicts. One of the most important wars was the Livonian War, which lasted from 1558 to 1583 and saw Russia fighting against the Livonian Confederation, Sweden, and Poland-Lithuania for control over the Baltic region. Another notable conflict was the Russo-Kazan Wars, which took place from 1552 to 1556 and resulted in the annexation of the Khanate of Kazan by Russia.
