Dawit I was the Emperor of the Ethiopian Empire from 1382 to 1413. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the War of the Holy Grail in 1401. This war, also known as the Battle of Bạḥr Säbäʾ, was fought against the forces of the Sultanate of Adal, led by Imam Ahmad ibn Ibrahim al-Ghazi. The war lasted from 1401 to 1402, and Dawit I successfully defended his empire against the Adal Sultanate's invasion. This victory solidified his rule and ensured the stability of the Ethiopian Empire during his tenure.
