Iyasu I was the Emperor of the Ethiopian Empire from 1682 to 1706. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts, including the Oromo Revolt of 1704-1706, which posed a major challenge to his rule. This rebellion, led by the Oromo people, lasted for two years and resulted in significant loss of life and destruction. Despite the turmoil, Iyasu I managed to maintain his authority and successfully suppress the revolt, solidifying his position as a strong ruler in the Ethiopian Empire.
