al-Adid li-Din Allah, Caliph (Zurayids (Fatimid)) : All Data
al-Adid li-Din Allah was the last Caliph of the Fatimid Caliphate, reigning from 1160 to 1171. During his rule, the Fatimid Caliphate faced significant challenges, including the Crusader invasion of Egypt. In 1169, the famous general Salah ad-Din (Saladin) seized power in Egypt, effectively ending the Fatimid dynasty. This marked the beginning of the Ayyubid dynasty, and al-Adid li-Din Allah was reduced to a figurehead ruler. Although he did not directly participate in any major wars, his reign witnessed the consolidation of Ayyubid power and the subsequent decline of the Fatimid Caliphate.
