Abas I was the King of the Bagratid Kingdom of Armenia from 943 to 952. During his reign, Armenia faced several significant conflicts. One of the most notable wars was the Byzantine-Arab War, which lasted from 941 to 944. This conflict saw the Byzantine Empire and the Abbasid Caliphate battling for control over Armenia and its surrounding territories.
