Icon Agustín Gamarra, President (peru) : All Data

Agustín Gamarra was the President of the Republic of Peru in 1839. His rule, however, extended beyond that year, as he served as President from 1829 to 1833 and again from 1838 until his death in 1841. During his tenure, Gamarra faced significant military conflicts, including the War of the Confederation (1836-1839) and the Ecuadorian-Peruvian War (1858-1860). These wars were consistent with the calculated timespan of Gamarra's rule, as they occurred within the broader period of his presidency.
