al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah was the Caliph of the Fatimid Caliphate, reigning from 953 to 975. During his rule, he led the Fatimids to their greatest territorial expansion, conquering Egypt and establishing Cairo as their capital. The most significant war that occurred during his tenure was the Fatimid invasion of Egypt in 969, which resulted in the overthrow of the Ikhshidid dynasty and the establishment of Fatimid rule.
