Al-Mu'tadid was a Caliph who ruled over the Abbasid Caliphate from 892 to 902. During his reign, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most important conflicts was the Zanj Rebellion, which lasted from 869 to 883, predating his rule. However, Al-Mu'tadid played a role in suppressing the rebellion and its aftermath. Another notable war that occurred during his tenure was the Saffarid invasion of Iraq in 900, which posed a threat to the Abbasid Caliphate's control over the region. Al-Mu'tadid successfully defended his territory and managed to repel the Saffarid forces.
